Pond Lehocky Giordano Gives Back in honor of International Day of Disabled Persons

Pond Lehocky Giordano will once again be spreading holiday cheer over the weeks leading up to the new year by contributing to local and national charities selected by the firm’s clients, partners, attorneys and staff. This is one of many initiatives that the firm sponsors through its charitable arm, Pond Lehocky Community

It is no coincidence that on International Day of Disabled Persons the firm will to contribute to Disability Pride Philadelphia. As a firm that continues to fight for those with disabilities, we are honored to provide this gift for those struggling this holiday season.

This will be Pond Lehocky’s fourth straight year presenting 25 Days of Giving. Beginning December 1, the firm will hold gift drives and donate to charities across the country. Traditionally, the firm’s staff and attorneys have volunteered at local non-profits throughout the month, in addition to monetary donations, but has since transitioned to virtual events and donations, considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Pond Lehocky has and will donate to the following organizations in the first 10 days of this years campaign

Day 1: Lisa’s Army, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comfort to courageous individuals currently undergoing cancer treatments.

Day 2: Project HOME: Women of Change, a safe-haven residence for women in Philadelphia run by Project HOME, which aims to help adults, children and families break the cycle of homelessness.

Day 3: Disability Pride Philadelphiaa nonprofit organization of disabled people and their allies committed to promoting visibility and mainstreaming the positive pride felt by people with disabilities within their communities.

Day 4: Pennsylvania SPCA, a 100-percent, donor-funded animal rescue center with multiple locations throughout the state.

Day 5: Beverly’s Birthdays, an organization that provides birthday cheer to homeless children and families in need.

Day 6: Special Olympics of Pennsylvania, an organization that provides sports training and athletic competition to children and adults in Pennsylvania with intellectual disabilities.

Day 7: ChildPromise, an organization that supports housing and educational services for foster children.

Day 8: Special Olympics of New Jersey, an organization that provides sports training and athletic competition to children and adults in New Jersey with intellectual disabilities.

Day 9: Alzheimer’s Association, a national organization that supports research, care, and advocacy for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
