Pond Lehocky and Community Legal Services of Philadelphia Team Up to Provide Legal Aid
Filed in:
Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano is proud to announce that it is partnering with Community Legal Services (CLS) of Philadelphia to help bring free civil legal aid to low-income Philadelphians.
Founded by the Pennsylvania Bar Association in 1966, CLS has become nationally recognized as a model legal services program. It provides free legal assistance to more than 11,700 Philadelphians in need each year. CLS aids clients who face the threat of losing their homes, incomes, health care, and even their families.
CLS’s cutting edge legal work complements Pond Lehocky’s own legal practice, which focuses on aiding injured and disabled workers. Pond Lehocky values engagement with the community locally, nationally and globally. The firm strives to improve the community through educating the public about the law and giving back through volunteer efforts. The partnership with CLS underscores that commitment.
Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano opened its doors in July 2010 with six attorneys and only 22 total staff members. Today, it is the largest workers’ compensation and Social Security disability law firm in the region, with the most certified workers’ compensation attorneys in Pennsylvania. It boasts 12 office locations and over 200 staff members. The Firm opened its Pittsburgh location in 2016 and has also recently expanded into new practice areas for workers, including employment law and long-term disability.
